Disney Part 3

The next morning we went straight to the bus and headed for Animal Kingdom. Once we got there we saw a couple animals and then we came across this thing called Wilderness explorers. Wilderness Explorers is where they give you a book and you can collect badges throughout the parks.  You get badges and learn different animal facts. It is fun throughout the day. We first hit some shopping and then we went down to the animal observatory which on the way. We saw an okapi which had a ton of fun facts.  It was not always considered an animal so we do not know that much about it but we know that it is closely related to the giraffe, but you would think it would be related to a zebra but it really isn't. Then it was time to head down to the observatory which was filled with different animals like naked mole rats, frogs, turtles, and snakes, some dead animals, and bugs.  The bugs were kind of gross especially the foot long scorpion.  After that we headed out and we met this cast member who told us a very fun fact about feathers. Blue and green feathers are not actually blue and green is the reflection of the light which is a very cool concept. We talked to the cast member for a bit, then kept on heading on. We came across someone who gave me a badge for my animal Explorer book and she told me about gorillas and how that their noses are all different like our fingerprints.

Then we headed on to meet my siblings at the Kimanjaro Safari ride. This ride had a very long line. While we were in the line my siblings told me about the rides they had went on. They went on this Avatar ride.  I have never seen Avatar, so I don't really know what it is.  They said it was like you were riding on an animal.  It made my dad queasy, but they said you look at a screen and could feel the animal breathing riding it. The other ride they went on had a boat ride. It was also Avatar themed. My siblings and Dad did not like it much because it was a very slow moving one and none of us have really gotten into any of the Avatar stuff.  Even though it was slow it is not wheelchair accessible.  It is frustrating that it is a newer ride and did not make it accessible.  If you really like Avatar that would be a really good ride for you, but if not it might be a little boring. Once we got on to the Kimanjaro ride we loaded via a ramp into the safari truck and they strapped me in.  When we started moving it was really bumpy and jerky which after my spinal fusion I could handle, but if you have pain I would suggest you do not do that one. It is very jerky, and it could cause some pain.  We saw a ton of fun animals. We saw rhinos, giraffes, antelope, alligators, hippopotamuses, and goats from a distance.  You could see some ostriches. We had gotten stuck waiting for them. We turned and had to wait behind a couple of other safari trucks, it took a little bit to get the ostrich to move off the road, but eventually they did. We learned a ton of fun facts while riding this ride.

After a quick lunch break we headed for the Finding Nemo show. It was super fun because they used puppets and all the actors would speak for them like a ventriloquist. The puffer fish puppet was one of my favorites because it was an umbrella.  Every time it puffed up they just made the umbrella go out. The stingray was super fun because it was a bike, and the puppet was on top.   The stingray was such a big puppet. After we left the Finding Nemo ride we headed for the Lion King show. It was very fun and full of different things.  They did acrobats, and dancers danced and did acts.  It is full of music and fun.  After we did that we headed to the exit. My mom and I were hungry so we stopped for a treat.  It was well worth it, and then we headed to the hotel.

Throughout the whole trip my favorite park I would say is Epcot. My favorite thing about the Epcot was Paris in the world showcase. It was full of different cultures and different things that I didn't know about before. I'd have to say my favorite ride was Soarin' as it really made you feel like you're flying.  I have not gotten to experience this before.  I have say my favorite food throughout the whole trip would be the cake slice that we got from the boardwalk.  It was delicious, it was cookie dough flavored and I loved it. By the end of the trip I was ready to see Tibbs and be home.
